Athleit LLC ("Athleit," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Athleit web and mobile applications and related services (collectively, the "Service") for youth sports teams, clubs, and the families and staff who participate in them. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
This policy is written for two audiences at once: the organizations that subscribe to Athleit (teams and clubs) and the individuals who use it (parents and guardians, players, coaches, and staff). Where a rule applies to children specifically, see Section 7 (Children's Privacy).
Plain-language summary. We collect the information teams and clubs need to run a season — names, contact details, schedules, rosters, and payment records. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store full card numbers. We do not sell your information or the information of any child. Children under 13 do not create their own accounts — a parent, guardian, or authorized organization adds them, and a parent or guardian can review or delete a child's information at any time. The full detail is below.
For most information in the Service, the team or club you belong to is the party that decides what to collect and why; Athleit processes that information on their behalf as a service provider. For information about your relationship with Athleit directly — your account, your subscription, your support requests — Athleit is responsible.
If you have a question about a specific team or club's use of your information, contact that organization directly. For questions about Athleit's own practices, contact us using the details in Section 14.
Information you or your organization provide:
Information we collect automatically:
Information from third parties:
We use information to:
We do not use children's personal information for behavioral advertising, and we do not serve third-party advertising in the Service.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and processes payment card and bank information directly, subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy (https://stripe.com/privacy) and its security and PCI-DSS obligations. Athleit does not store full card or bank account numbers on its own systems.
Athleit's fee structure (a flat per-payment fee in addition to Stripe's processing rate) is described on our Pricing page and in our Terms. The team or club that requests a payment determines what it is charging for; Athleit facilitates the transaction.
We share information only as described here. We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell or share children's personal information for advertising.
We retain information for as long as an account or organization is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal and tax obligations (including payment and transaction records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Parents and guardians can request deletion of a child's information at any time (see Section 7).
Athleit is designed for youth sports, and we take the privacy of children seriously. This section describes how we handle the personal information of children under 13 in compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA").
Children do not create their own accounts. Account registration in Athleit is limited to individuals 13 and older. A child under 13 does not sign up, log in, or independently provide information to Athleit.
How a child's information enters the Service. A child's information (such as name, age division, jersey number, position, emergency contact, photos, or waiver information) is provided by the child's parent or legal guardian, or by an authorized team or club administrator acting under the parent's or guardian's consent. The parent or guardian who links a child to a household is asked to consent to Athleit's collection and use of that information for the purpose of operating the team or club.
What we collect about children and why. We collect only the information needed for a team or club to organize participation — for example, identifying a player on a roster, contacting a guardian, scheduling, and processing dues paid by an adult. We practice data minimization and do not condition a child's participation on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary.
We do not:
Parental rights. A parent or legal guardian may, at any time:
To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in Section 14, or contact your team or club administrator. We may need to verify that you are the child's parent or guardian before acting on a request.
Older minors (13–17). Players who are 13 or older may have their own login in some configurations. We still limit what minors can see and do, and messaging is routed through role-based permissions designed to keep communication appropriate and supervised. Parents and guardians retain the rights described above for minors in their household.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information directly without parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on infrastructure providers (such as Supabase and Stripe) with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the address in Section 14. We will verify your request before acting on it and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Residents of certain U.S. states (for example, California, and others with comprehensive privacy laws) may have additional rights. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no "sale" or "sharing" for you to opt out of in that sense.
We send transactional messages necessary to operate the Service. If we send optional product or marketing emails, you may opt out using the unsubscribe link in those messages; this will not affect transactional messages.
The Service is operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. For changes that materially affect how we handle children's information, we will obtain new parental consent where required by law.
